Getting comments is another animal entirely. It is one thing to quickly read a blog post, but quite another thing to stop and take precious time out of your day to formulate a thought, get it into words, type it out, and send it! Add logging in to someone’s blog host to that and you have at least 2 minutes down that you’ve lost. Some people are also less computer literate than others… so navigating blogs is enough work - commenting is jut another process that must be mastered. I would say that the main reason that comments don’t happen though, is just pure laziness. We THINK warm thoughts about the person, but we don’t ACT and SHARE them. I’m as guilty as the next person.
