Laundry Room Makeover

Most laundry rooms are plain and uninviting. Spruce up both the look and feel of your laundry room to take out the drudge. I hung these adorable curtains I purchased at Collections Etc.
Laundry Room Before

Laundry Room After

These curtains have real buttons, a bow on the mom’s apron, button flowers, and other cute items for a 3d effect. IMHO, anything that can make folding and washing even slightly more cheerful should be done.
I keep paper towels by the door (usually, I was out today) for quick mud wipes (from children and animals)

Two baskets contain laundry supplies and one basket holds all our gloves and mittens. The other side of the door has a hanging rack for jackets (which is quite full; I plan on hanging another set of hooks above it)
I purchased the clock and sign at ebay:

My rug is also from Collections Inc.
It’s a work in progress. I ordered this mop hanger 5 Position Magic Holder for mops, brooms and swiffers.

Not sure what to suggest for a place for your tools.
Love the signs too!

My laundry room is not nearly so organized. We keep tools on a pegboard. If you can’t find a “cabinet,” maybe you could paint a pegboard white? At least you can grab the tools quickly.
I like your makeover!

Wow- great space. I’m jealous of your nice big counter. I fold clothes on the (clean) floor of my laundry room or on my bed. Love the “laundry or naked” sign, too!

Soooo jealous of your laundry room – mine is in the basement with hubby’s tools and toys. Maybe next week’s tackle should be my laundry area – I’m sure I can create a nice place to do that dreaded chore!

What a cute laundry room! You have found such cute things to add to it. Have you thought about a pegboard for your tools? You can paint the pegboard any color you want. Of course, if you want the tools hidden that wouldn’t work. Or perhaps you could get a wooden medicine chest and put pegboard inside…then you would be able to shut the door on it, but it wouldn’t stick out from the wall very far.

Wow! I love your laundry room especially the counter top space. I hope to own a front loader washer and dryer soon, so I can have the counter top over it. Love the curtains too!

Comment by Missy :
Why not use a small cabinet and have your husband drill holes in the middle shelf for your tools. Small holes for screw drivers, a large one for a hammer handle. Pliers could lay in the bottom shelf (but glue down some of that non-slip stuff like you use under a rug so the pliers won’t slip off the shelf each time you open the cabinet door).
Blessings,
Missy
Comment by Hadias :
I really like this curtains. My laundry room is unfinished so I am looking at insulation while I wash clothes.
One day I will get to jazz it up though and your cutains will be my inspiration.
