It has a "wrought iron" look. I keep my garden clogs there so I can slip them on when I run out to fill up the bird feeders or take out the trash. The kids keep their play shoes there. I also use one shelf on my IKEA bookcase in my bedroom for my shoes. Keeping them on the floor is a bad idea for me because of my back problems (I've had spinal fusion surgery.) Keeping them on a shelf on the bookcase at about waist height makes it easy for me to get them and put them away (no more hollering for the little ones to come find my shoes for me). My dh put in an extra shelf by setting a piece of old shelving on two small blocks of scrap wood so there are two full rows available.
