Peppy is Very Sick

My heart is very heavy over my little Peppy. Peppy is one of two Great Pyrenees we got last year. Peppy is like a baby to me. Peppy has a liver disease.
Peppy is deaf so I have has to take special care of him. We knew something was wrong when we got him but we fell in love with him and took him home. I wrote Spiritual Lessons from a Deaf Dog a few months back.
Peppy is only 30 lbs. His sister is 65 lbs.

He is very weak. We carry him around in a wagon back and forth each day to the barn so he can be part of our daily routine. He’s too weak to make it to the barn and back on his own.
We’re waiting for more test results from the vet, but yesterday he said it doesn’t look good. I can’t imagine Peppy not being here. He spent the night at the vet’s last night. I’m on my way to pick him up now.

Oh Robin, my heart goes out to you and your family. My pup is one of my hearts, and I know that it is hard when a furry family member is ill. My thoughts are with you.
Comment by Robin :
Oh, Robin, poor precious Peppy
I’m so sorry to hear he is not well. We are praying for his recovery and wisdom for the vet.

I’m so sorry about Peppy, Robin. I know how painful it can be emotionally wrapped up in a pet, and then lose it. My prayers are with you and your family.

I’m sorry your Peppy isn’t well. He is a beautiful dog.
Comment by Eyebee :
I hope your dog is better soon. I don’t have any animals, not since I was a child, but I remember how I felt when my dog was taken from me when she was only five years old. I still have a picture of us together though, which is over forty years old now.

I’m sorry Robin. I pray Peppy can be healed. It is so odd how a dog or a cat, a horse or a goat can become such an integral part of our lives, like family. Blessings and Shalom to you and your family. Please let us know.

I’m so sorry. Losing an animal is so tough. It’s so hard to watch them suffer.

Oh RobinI hope that you can get some help from your vet. I don’t know alot about your situation. But I had a lab that had liver disease. I know there is a huge difference between a lab and your Peppy. But we were able to save our dog. The vet was able to treat him with i.v. when he had liver failure. Then he suggested perscription dog food. He was fine as long as he was on that dog food. I will pray for you and the family that this is the case. And since he is so small the dog food won’t cost you much! Our lab did perfectly fine with only a couple of episodes but we learned what to look for and got him to the vet promptly for treatment. He lived way beyond normal labs. Like I said I will pray for you and Peppy. Please keep me posted. Blessings, Sherry
