Homeschooling During Illness

It;s Tackle it Tuesday. My focus is on homeschooling during illness. We are reading in my bed a lot these days and catching up on weekends. I’m glad homeschooling is flexible. I’m so exhausted the trip from my bed to the bathroom takes 10 minutes to recover and I’m going downhill daily. I appreciate your prayers.
Homeschooling during illness is an opportunity to teach our children to wait on God. God promises that hardships can produce patient and unswerving endurance.
We can rejoice, too, when we run into problems and trials, for we know that they help us develop endurance. And endurance develops strength of character, and character strengthens our confident hope of salvation. nd this hope will not lead to disappointment. For we know how dearly God loves us, because he has given us the Holy Spirit to fill our hearts with his love. Romans 5:3-5
I am taking a blogging break as I deal with these health issues. See Explaining My Blogging Absence.

Hi Robin,
I really feel for you about your illness. My dad also had open heart surgery a bit over a year ago and he had been told, “you’ll be a new man!” I see him sort of waiting for that to happen … he’s had challenges with adjusting the medications up and down to make sure his blood is right and I guess he’s been feeling weak and tired for a long time … I guess longer than he had expected!
You’re a strong woman! I love your spirit and your disclaimer is wonderful and made me smile … “Anything encouraging or uplifting on this blog is from the Holy Spirit. Anything that isn’t is because I wasn’t listening very well that day.”
Make sure you take good, good care of YOU … so you can be your best for your family. I know you already know that
Many hugs,
Colleen

Glad to hear you are taking it easy. I resorted to sending my firstborn to a private, Christian school for K and 1/2 of first grade while I was very sick. I wish I would have had the experience and support system to school him “from bed”. I pray this post will encourage others that it is possible to do in God’s grace. Lord bless you abundantly.

Dear Robin,
I’m sorry to hear of your health issues. I’ve ’sensed’ that you have been having some health issues so I’ve been praying for you and your family.
I haven’t been online for ages. I had set posts to automatically post on my blog but I need to update that as well. Our connection is sporadic and hardly usable, plus I’m having a ball just being with my family and doing other things like cooking. While my house is a lot smaller my kitchen is bigger and I’m really inspired to cook healthy meals…so my time offline has been well spent.
Anyway, I wish you well and please know that you are in my prayers and thoughts often.
Blessings to you, sister in Christ,
Susan <
