I donate regularly to the thrift store if I don’t have someone currently in need. My last batch of clothes went to a mom of two young children who lost her house in a fire. I really like your idea of making sure to donate now so that families that need school clothes have a good selection to choose from. I would have never thought of that! Thanks for the idea.

This is a really great tackle Robin, Way to go! This past year, donation boxes were placed permanently in the parking lot of our son’s school. If you donate there, the school gets money from the charity! It’s a three way win!

Great tackle. I was discussing this same issue with my son this morning. I may have to just do that for next week’s tackle.

Awesome idea about the Goodwill. I may even contact my Church to see if there are refugee families that would fit some of my sons clothes.

I wish we had a Good Will around here. But there is a battered women’s shelter I think I am going to take a bunch of stuff to. It’s hard for me to give anything away though because I’m always like “I might wear that again” lol…

Hi Robin!

It does feel good to purge and organize, doesn’t it? I too love it when my closets are slimmed down and organized! I too, cannot give something away unless I know it will be used. That is a very hard concept for me! I just don’t thrown things away. I need them to have a purpose somewhere! Luckily my kids are older than my sisters and brothers’ kids, so I do pass alot down the line.
