There are some attention-grabbing points on this article however I don’t know if I see all of them center to heart. There's some validity however I'll take hold an opinion until I look into it further. Good article , thanks and we wish more! Added to FeedBurner as well.

quote. While we are teaching our children to study, research, and write, we need to remember that they are establishing and perfecting tools that they will one day use to God’s glory, depending on their unique, individual talents.
Homeschoolers sometimes get so wrapped up in academics they forget the one needful thing.
end quote.
smile smile smile smile smile smile smile smile ... oh, you get it!
I LIKE ".. that they will one day use to God's glory..." yet remember that TODAY THEIR LIFE SHOWS GOD'S GLORY
YES, YOU KNOW IT, TODAY ALREADY! YEAH!
when they have been raised in YHVH'S PLAN, in the healing life of YAHSHUA, in simple living TRUTH to love and obey the TRUTH always,
they RADIATE GOD'S GLORY more than and better than any of 'man's' feeble attempts to show off.
This is very rare, of course, for children to be raised with even an awareness of God's Omni-Care and God's Personal Daily Interaction in their lives,
but even though it is rare it is still even more gloriously vitally seen in their lives- God's Own Glory! SURPRISE!!! YHVH Dwelling with man, YHVH in our midst. Rare and Beautiful and True. YHVH in our midst, ekklesia dwelling in unity as one, all by sheer grace.

I needed this reminder, and so did my oldest daughter. I sent the link to her to read. She is a wonderful daughter and a fine student, but she does get stressed out about school often enough. I want her to remember what is most important. Thank you for reminding us both. :-)

Thank you for bringing this back into focus. We don't have a set Bible curriculum or study and it sometimes shows that the importance or the necessity isn't there.
We can tell when we've drifted too far off the Word or studying the Word when attitudes begin to shift into the negative (often horrible) and when the day or week just isn't "going right".
The main thing should always be the main thing.
