Yes, Colin is correct. The whole Bible is written in human language and humanly understandable thought patterns bu the anomaly is that it is contra natural human thinking. Man-devised religion deifies our worst morals and like Adam would like to blame anyone or One excepting myself. Confucius said that he had never met anyone who confessed own mistakes. We reject Biblical accounts because they do not fit our conceited self-image. As a US chaplain Dr Edwin Orr was confronted by a self-confessed atheist asking about the wife of Cain - he was not so pleased when the chaplain questioned the petty officer's own marital infidelity!! A great English author had a similar answer to someone making cheap talk about the "difficulties" in the Bible. He retorted honestly, "What worries me is what I do understand in the Bible!"
