Blogs and sites are just like homes and garages if you don’t take the time to purge and organize you’ll have a cluttered mess. After all clutter-reduction equals increased productivity and I’m all for increased productivity.
If you are one of my OCD friends (or blog friends interested in reorganizing) and would like to understand the method behind my madness organization see below the table. The rest you normal folk can skip the ramblings. Just note these 3 things.
Articles or posts have been moved into THREE AREAS as shown in the table.
I have a lot of link clean up ahead of me. Please be patient with me (1000s of pages x 2-12 links per page =lots of updating.) If you get lost go to the home page for help or pop me an email.
This is an ongoing process. I will continue try to keep categories to a minimum, post to as few categories as possible, and tag with keywords, and add related posts (I promise I’ll try).
The Heart of Wisdom blog was originally a place for every thing: family, business, homeschool, health, goats, etc. I’m in the process of moving almost of the family post to my Heart at Home blog, leaving the HOW Blog focusing on spiritual encouragement.
Homeschool categories fit in all three areas so I put them there.
Heart of Wisdom Blog: Homeschool experiences at the HOW Blog (updated information)
Heart at Home Blog: Personal homeschool experiences (endearing to my family but necessary helpful to others)

But What Category is Health: Personal or Spiritual?
As in life the categories overlap, I had a hard time with a few decisions, but I think things are a bit easier to find now (or will be soon). I was really on the fence with my Health Updates category i.e. should it go on the personal or HOW Blog? My health affects HOW progress and production. Well, the Health category landed at the HOW Blog instead of moving to Heart at Home becasue of the spiritual lessons I’m learning.
I know what you are thinking, “Why did she post this here instead of on the HOW blog?” Ha, becasue the column is so narrow there. It fits better here. LOL
So what do you think? Have any organization suggestions? How many blog categories do you have? Too many? Not enough?
Are you my twin separated at birth? Seriously, girl… we could be twinkies. I wish you lived next door so I could sit and blog-talk with you about organization. I’ve been going crazy with what to do with mine, too… I love PW’s organization. However, I’m too easily stressed out and stress is bad, so I opted for leaving ALL my posts on one blog and just tagging them. Maybe you (don’t hit me) should consolidate your blogs to ONE. We love ALL of you. It would be cool to just come to ONE place and get TOTAL ROBIN!
Just stopping by to say hello. No suggestions here – just admiring the fact that you are taking the steps to organize your blogs. You’ve been blogging much longer than I have and I know I need to clean up and organize it but I just can’t get it all done – homeschool, cook, clean etc. So, I sit here in admiration of someone who is taking action!
