what makes crstn education crstn ? would Christ ?
no
Christ cannot make crstn education crstn.(they won't let HIM).......

that's another more emphatic way of saying like she said
"We cannot stand with one foot on the Bible and the other on human mystic tradition or we will be torn asunder. We must build foursquare on Scripture alone. "

Trying to get the world and Christ to 'co-operate' cannot work. HE OVERCAME the world - and the world will not receive HIM. the world cannot understand HIM.

the world cannot understand you if you follow HIM. so don't worry about the people around you ... instead and unlike others, you do what YHVH says to do. HE HIMSELF will watch over you and guide your steps. HE PROMISED IN HIS WORD HE WOULD DO THIS, AND HE ALWAYS DOES. no worries , the CREATOR does not lie.

Thanks Robin for yet another informative article filled with gems of Truth from God’s word. You know, even though I always knew the story of God’s word, it was through HOW that I fully realized the importance of studying the Bible with a Hebraic mindset. For God chose to use primarily Hebrew people to write the words of His story…in a time and place that is extremely different to how we live now. To understand a Hebrew way of life and understanding enables me to better understand His word.

I always knew that God did have things to say about education but the HOWTA pulled it all together for me.

I started homeschooling two years ago and while I know it is the Lord’s will for my family, I find myself worrying about “justifying” our decision to the world around us - particularly family members who think we’ve lost our minds. I know that kind of thinking is wrong, but the thoughts, nonetheless, keep creeping in.

Your article reminded me to meditate on this verse:

And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God.

Thank you for this article.

i agrees. We use The Principle Approach that looks to restore America's Christian Charater by looking at God's purpose in each subject, learning to reason from the Word. It is a hebrew appraoch to teaching. I have always had a hard time w/ classical education. they learn from the "best" man has to offer. I choose to learn from the best God has to offer.....Jesus. So often history gets studied as "man's history" . how prideful are we! It is His Story and His hand in the lives of nations and men. :>)

Great post. ;) I agree. If you study the life of some of the restoration movement in history, they make us look like complete and total loosers as Christians today.

Alexander Campbell got up at 4am or something like that - studied the Bible, Greek, Latin, Hebrew and did personal prayer and study time for HOURS before lunch EVERY DAY.

We struggle sometimes to fit in thirty solid minutes or get so rushed that we can’t truly focus while we are reading.

I think pointing us back to the scriptures is commendable. ;) They should be where the HEART of homeschooling starts and ends each day… wrapped up in the Word.

Thank you Robin for this reminder! Because of reading several of your books I have made God’s word a priority every morning with my four boys. But, a “spirit of education” will come at me sometimes and I’ll be tempted to forsake God’s word and jump right into working on things that the boys might be struggling with. Thankfully God has continued to protect me through His Holy Spirit and help me to see that “the enemy” doesn’t want my boys to be wise in God’s word. I am trusted that as I seek first His kingdom, He will add all these things.

I pray God continues to bless you Robin and your “full quiver”!
